Battery Check
The battery is your vehicle's only source of power, not just for getting the engine started but for powering its lights, heated windscreens and mirrors, sat nav, stereo and fans. Even with proper maintenance, the life of a battery is on average 5 or 6 years. Battery life and performance varies according to factors including the type of vehicle, driving conditions, the driver's style and even the climate. Unsurprisingly, failed batteries are the number one cause of breakdowns in the UK which is why a regular battery check should be part of every motorist's routine.
During a battery check service, our qualified fitters will clean the battery terminals and measure not only its current level but also its capacity to hold a charge, which reduces over time. We will inspect the vehicle's charging system and diagnose any faults. Years of experience tell us that in many cases, a preventive maintenance check will be sufficient but sometimes a battery will have reached the end of its useful life in which case we can supply and fit a replacement.
